The University of Rabat in Morocco is hosting a ‘Conference on Past Plant Diversity Changes” from 1 to 5 October 2018.

The objective of this conference is to bring together different but complementary disciplines to discuss past plant diversity in relation to climate variability, species persistance in refugia and their impacts on the genetic diversity, and how can we take into account the past changes for predicting with more confidence the future species ranges.

The conference will last two and a half days, followed by a 2 day field excursion to the Middle Atlas and its famous Atlas cedar forests.
